Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action!

It's been announced and it's coming our way very soon! It's called live action, but it's basically a movie ispired by an anime/manga. The first 'Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action' will be out this winter 2017!

The movie is directed by Fumihiko Sori, produced by Warner Bros Japan, and cast, among others, Ryosuke Yamada  as Edward Elric, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell. All the main actors with their anime counterpart (via Crunchyrol) :

If you're not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist (which I suggest you do, asap), here's somewhat of a background:  The story follows the brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric trying to revive their mother as children with alchemy, the first losing one arm and one leg in the process, the second losing his entire body.
As they grow up, with the goal to get back their own bodies, they become State Alchemist to find the powerful Philosopher's Stone but they'll have to face the government corruption and the plans of very strong enemies.

The mangaka behind Fullmetal Alchemist, Hiromu Arakawa, whom published the manga from 2001 to 2010 in the Monthly Shonen Gangan, announced a 'special edition comic' that people who attend the movie screening will receive.
Indeed there will be some differences between the anime and the live action, first being some character age. For cinema purposes, or whatnot, for example, Edward will be 20 years old and not 15 like in the original story.

Well, as I wrote this article, new posters for the movie came out, chek them out:

Can I just say, it looks amazing. I'm actually not very fond of live actions (with few exceptions), but this seems really beyond my wildest dreams. As a long-standing fan of the manga and anime, I know I'm gonna love it. Are you looking forward to it?
