Movie Review: Jenny, Juno.
Yesterday I accidentaly happen to see 'Jenny, Juno' a south-korean 2004 movie, so I decided to do a little review on it.
Plot: The movie is about two 15years old, a boy and a girl, who are in fact a couple. She, Jae-In called Jenny, is a pretty model student and he, Juno, is a cute boy that transferred in the same school a little before. Apparently they are just a young and naive couple, but as we'll see right from the start they're not that naive.. as a matter of fact she is pregnant.
How will he react? Will they keep the baby? And what will their families do/say about it?I forgot to mention, the amazing two main-characters are played by Park Min Ji (Jenny) and Kim Hye Sung (Juno), I'll be sure to watch their late work too from now on.
It may seem a dramatic, complicated movie but it's really not. I think everybody can safely see it, it does not show x-rated scenes, on the contrary everything about the two is fluffly and cute. "Jenny, Juno" is really a family-oriented, somewhat comedy, movie that explain a difficult situation and argument through the eyes of two teenagers. Well, even though I say that it's still PG-13.
*contain spoilers*
Not just that, once they knew (and overcome the shock) they become quite aware and look up any kind of information and after seeing how abortion is done decide not to do it and hide the pregnancy from everybody else until it's safe.
Eventually their parents find out the truth (and it's really shocking how since she doesn't have even a slightest bump, but they pretend she does LOL). There really is nothing else to say, except that I found the families's reactions just hilarious! They are quite real and somehow traditional, like when her mother tries to take her away and hide her pregnancy or when Juno's mom finds out and shouts out her disappointment and is really harsh on her son.

Somewhat, even though they did something wrong, I can't put any blame on Jenny and Juno and you'll know once you see the movie, because they are just so adorable and really care for each other like no 15years old will do in reality.
What's also amazing is their friends reaction.. you'll expect them to get bullied or talked to behind their back..well, no! Their friends fully support the two of them and even help them escape to meet each others when they couldn't. Such extraordinary friends!
In conclusion, it's a bit unrealistic but it's a really good movie. "Jenny, Juno" really warms your heart and want you to cheer for that young couple. It really shows you how a delicate matter like that can be handled with a smile and little drama.
So, all in all, I really recommend it! You definetely won't regret watching this! :)
