And we're back with basic japanese! Today we'll learn how to form a sentence japanese. Let's start with something simple.
- I am Meme (a girl).
- 私 はメメです -Watashi wa Meme desu.
Watashi is the subject, wa is particle that indicates the subject , Meme object, and of course desu is the verb.
Another example:
- Laura is cute.
- ラウラはかわいいです - Laura wa kawaii desu.
Laura is the subject, wa is the particle, kawaii is the object, desu is the verb.
So, as you must have get by now, the structure is very simple. Basically it is : Subject-Object-Verb.
The subject go at the beginning of a phrase, while the verb always go at the end.
Let's do another example, shall we?
- メメ はラーメンを食べます - Meme wa ramen o tabemasu.
- Meme is eating ramen.
(LOL, joking of course. You use that phrase just with friends /juniors/ family but it isn't really polite )
So that's it for today's lesson. Next time we'll do VERBS, be ready and review! :D
Also I'll suggest you to review hiragana and katakana, everyday at best. This is a useful book you should try:
